workshop at sydney conservatorium

Giving a presentation in front of a good-sized audience of composition students and musicians after an overnight flight from Singapore, having rushed to Sydney Con directly from the airport, might have sounded like an overly challenging task… but the welcome was so warm and the involvement of the participants so energizing, that time flew by in the most pleasant way, and in the end we all felt as fresh as after a weekend off!

The works we introduced were quite new to the participants, and we were happy to have the opportunity to arouse their interest:

Pierluigi Billone: instrument point zeroMani.Mono for spring drum
Helmut Oehring: reinventing the instrumentLeuchter for flute, cello and prepared piano
