WERKSTATT ZEITGENOESSISCHE OPER

The upcoming 47th International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt 2014 offer a workshop for contemporary opera, directed by Hans Thomalla (composer, Northwestern University Chicago) and Patrick Hahn (dramaturge, Stuttgart Opera).
The workshop is aimed at composers, as well as performers interested in contemporary opera performance, dramaturges, stage directors, and other theatre artists. Composers will have the opportunity to work at their music theatre project on stage, with the assistance of stage director Lydia Steier, music director Stefan Schreiber, musicians of Ensemble Interface and voice students of Donatienne Michel-Dansac.
