Van Koolwijk developed mobile instruments which the musicians play while in motion. The musicians use their entire body to produce a huge diversity of sounds. In a d\u00e9cor full of bells, clocks, cables and lines, it becomes a game between performer and instrument. Dennoch stehen Musikinstrumente, die gleichsam Skulpturen sind, f\u00fcr eine noch relativ unbekannte, junge Entwicklung in der Gegenwartskunst. In einer international besetzten Gruppenausstellung pr\u00e4sentiert die Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt k\u00fcnstlerische Arbeiten, denen gleichzeitig die Funktion von Musikinstrumenten innewohnt, von Doug Aitken, Nevin Alada\u011f, Jennifer Allora &amp; Guillermo Calzadilla, Carlos Amorales, Tarek Atoui, Cevdet Erek, Guillermo Galindo, Hans van Koolwijk, Constantin Luser, Christian Marclay, Caroline Mesquita, Rie Nakajima, Carsten Nicolai, Pedro Reyes, Naama Tsabar und David Zink Yi. Das Spiel auf den skulpturalen Instrumenten steht im Mittelpunkt der in st\u00e4ndiger Ver\u00e4nderung begriffenen Ausstellung.
